¡Hola! Thanks for visiting our website. We have designed a very nice worksheet with two short passages about travel experiences in Spanish along with two reading comprehension exercises to get the best out of this material. We hope you find this very useful to learn new vocabulary and see the grammar for the past tense in use.
Directions:
Students could work individually or in pairs to solve the exercises on this worksheet.
In order to solve the exercises in this worksheet, students must take a look at the drawings on the left and read the two passages about travel experiences in Spanish on top. They will read about the things that some people did in the two places they visited for their vacations, what they ate and how they moved around. For exercise No. 1, they must scan the text and answer the questions based on what Ana and Pablo did in their trips. For exercise No. 2, they must read the statements and then mark with “X” on the empty boxes depending on who did each of the activities in the list or had that travel experience. The predominant grammar for this reading activity is the past tense.

Exercise No.1: Choose the right answer for each question about the reading
Exercise No. 2: Choose who did each activity on their vacation
Extra Activity:
Students work in pairs to underline all the different verbs in the past tense in the reading and the different adjectives that were used to describe both places. Then, they should reuse those verbs and adjectives to write a short description of one of their own travel experience in Spanish. They could use any other adjectives, add likes and dislikes or any other thing they consider necessary to make their experience sound more interesting.
