¡Hola! Thanks for joining us once again. We have created this PDF worksheet to help you practice the questions and expressions you need to shop at a market in Spanish using the vocabulary for fruits, vegetables and meat. We hope the game helps you discover and learn more about this topic.
Directions:
Students work in groups of four to practice with the exercises on this worksheet.
In this role play, each group of students receives a worksheet. First, they must cut the worksheet in three. Two students will play the role of the vendor, while the other two read the situations that will define the course of the conversations. The sellers must help one customer each using the table of prices and products available, including fruits, vegetables and meats of different types.
Sellers must prepare special offers and give discounts that do not exceed 10% of the prices, whereas buyers must ask for offers, inquire on prices and buy everything necessary with the available budget so that they can carry out their event. In this sense, it is important for buyers to decide which dish they will cook beforehand and write down everything they will buy on their card.
Finally, the students practice their conversation in the market and present their dialogue in front of the class. Both the seller and the buyer must be satisfied with the transaction.
Extra activity:
Students look for information about the prices of similar products in local markets and create a conversation between a seller and the buyer at a market in Spanish, this time using photographs and information from their surroundings.
